Some of the most interesting ideas begin with a simple question.
For us, that question was, "What happens if we move beyond the ocean?"
 
Over the years, we've created numerous enamel dials inspired by waves and water. This time, however, we wanted to explore a much bolder texture. Instead of delicate ripples, we experimented with sweeping ridges that stretched across the entire dial, creating a landscape rather than a pattern.
 
The result surprised us.
While the texture had been born from experimentation, it no longer reminded us of the sea. Instead, it evoked the flowing dunes of a desert, where wind slowly reshapes the landscape one grain of sand at a time. It felt like the complete opposite of water. A place defined by its absence.
That was when the watch found its name.
 
Sands of Time.
The warm golden enamel, combined with the sculpted relief beneath it, captures a fleeting moment in a landscape that is constantly changing. Just as the wind reshapes the dunes, time reshapes the world around us, so slowly that we rarely notice it happening.
 
Ironically, this became one of our favourite textures and one of our most difficult to produce. The enamelling process proved remarkably unpredictable, and despite numerous attempts, this is the only example that achieved the result we had envisioned.
 
For that reason, Sands of Time is likely to remain exactly what it is today. A singular experiment, born from curiosity, and a reminder that some of the most rewarding discoveries can never be repeated.
