That was the promise.
 
Arctic Freedom was created as the hero prop for an April Fools' campaign released by Vitreum during the public discussions surrounding the idea of the United States purchasing Greenland. The fictional trailer embraced every luxury watch cliché imaginable, presenting Arctic Freedom as the ultimate symbol of prestige, power, and freedom.
 
To make the joke believable, an actual watch had to be built.
 
Unlike every other Vitreum watch, the handwritten numerals are not applied directly to the dial. Instead, they are drawn onto a transparent intermediate layer suspended within the dial, creating the playful appearance seen in the film. It achieved exactly the visual effect the story required, but it also meant the watch was never intended to become a production model.
 
What remains today is a curious piece of Vitreum history. Part movie prop. Part experimental prototype. Part fully functional mechanical watch.
There will only ever be one.

Arctic Freedom is offered exactly as it exists: a one of a kind experimental prototype.
While fully functional and assembled around a Swiss mechanical movement, the dial construction is intentionally unconventional and does not meet the aesthetic standards required for a production Vitreum watch. The transparent intermediate layer, together with its visible imperfections, is part of the watch's original construction and should not be regarded as a defect.
 
Arctic Freedom should not be compared to a regular Vitreum watch. Instead, it should be appreciated as a unique artifact from Vitreum's creative history. A watch that was never meant to exist beyond a fictional campaign, yet somehow did.
